Join one of the UK’s leading Marine and Civil Engineering contractors with over 30 years’ experience delivering essential projects around the British Isles. As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will join a growing commercial team, and be responsible for the financial management of complex and high value marine projects.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:
- Lead cost planning, forecasting, and value reporting across assigned projects
- Prepare tenders, bills of quantities (BoQ), variations and claims, negotiating with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor cost/value reconciliations (CVRs), cash flow and margin performance
- Overseeing procurement and subcontractor management, ensuring commercial compliance and risk control
- Provide commercial guidance to project teams and mentoring junior quantity surveyors
- Ensure commercial governance, timely valuations, and accurate final accounts
- Have experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- Have experience of reviewing contract terms and Conditions, identifying and clarifying scope of work at Tender stage and creating commercial strategies
Location: Newton Abbot, with occasional need for site visits which may require overnight stays
Salary band: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum
