Abatec is assisting their client, a highly reputable Civil Engineering contractor, with the recruitment of a freelance Senior Estimator.
Our client is delivering highways and earthworks projects across South West and requires an Estimator with a Civil Engineering background and experience in developing tender strategies, producing activity schedules, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) through to tender submission.
As Senior Estimator you will:
- Prepare budgets, cost plans, and BoQs
- Appraise tender documents
- Attend strategy & opportunity meetings with the project team
- Prepare material and sub-contractor enquires enquiries as well as select prospective subcontractors
- Completion of tender documentation and submission of the tender
- Initiate technical queries and ensure design is sufficiently developed to ensure accurate costings
Our client requires a Senior Estimator with:
- Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Strong Communications Skills
- Experience working on Civil Engineering projects in a similar position
- Strong IT skills
- NEC experience
Salary and benefits include:
- £400 – £450 p/day LTD
