Abatec has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Senior Engineer to join a leading Teir 1 civil engineering contractor delivering long-term water infrastructure projects across South Wales.
With a significant pipeline of work secured through the current investment period, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to join an established team and work on a range of complex civil engineering and water schemes.
The successful candidate will join a project delivery team responsible for the engineering management of schemes across the South Wales region with a particular focus of schemes along the M4 Corridor
As Senior Engineer you will:
- Provide technical and engineering leadership across your section of works
- Manage and coordinate engineering activities on site
- Ensure works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies
- Review designs and identify potential technical issues before construction
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Liaise with designers, subcontractors and site management teams
Our client requires a Senior Engineer with:
- Degree/HNC/ONC in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience within heavy civil engineering projects
- Previous experience working on water/wastewater or utilities projects (preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Salary/Benefits:
- £50,000 – £60,000 Depending on experience
