An opportunity to join a Civil Engineering contractor which has seen their turnover increase by 83% in the last 2 years to £60million. My client delivers groundwork and civil packages (values from £1m – £10m) on behalf of tier-one contractors across South Wales. My client is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their small and welcoming team and take commercial responsibility for 2-3 projects simultaneously. The successful Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing subcontractors, variations, CVR’s, final accounts etc. My client is interested in applicants who have previously worked for Groundwork or Civil Engineering contractors.
As Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:
- Maintain accurate records, control and reconcile costs and value, report variances against agreed performance, compliance and finance targets.
- Take control of change management.
- Be involved in a review of current procedures and processes and assist in the implementation of new and revised processes where required.
- Have previous experience of working for Groundworks or Civil Engineering contractors.
- Have a strong commercial awareness and acumen.
- Be degree qualified, or similar, in Quantity Surveying.
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office incl. Excel and Word.
- Hold a valid UK driving license.
Location: Be based in our client’s offices in Swindon, Wiltshire
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00
Location: Office based near Cowbridge, with regular visits to sites across South Wales
Salary band: £50,000 – £65,000 per annum
