Join a Leading Specialist M&E Contractor on One of the UK’s Largest Infrastructure Projects. We are seeking an Quantity Surveyor to join our clients dynamic team delivering a complex £80 million M&E package at Hinkley Point C – the most significant construction project in Europe.
As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take commercial lead on this major package of mechanical and electrical works, managing contract administration, cost control, change management, and commercial risk from start to finish. You’ll be embedded within a highly experienced project team, working closely with project managers, engineers, and the client to ensure the successful delivery of the scope, on time and within budget.
Due to the nature of the project, you will be required to undergo security vetting.
As Quantity Surveyor you will:
- Work closely with the project team, negotiating favourable terms.
- Be responsible for valuations and payment applications to budgeting, forecasting, and material procurement.
- Have experience in managing pricing, documentation, and subcontractor claims.
- Be responsible for minimising cost and maximising value, ensuring controls are in place to manage and monitor the operating cost base.
- Have strong commercial awareness
- Hold a HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
- Have experience with NEC contracts and ideally FIDIC
- Hold chartered status, or working towards it (preferable)
Locations: You will work on-site at HPC in Bridgwater, Somerset
Hybrid options: Some flexibility with occasional homeworking
Salary band: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum
