Abatec is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business looking for an experienced Production Team Leader to join its specialist manufacturing team in Clevedon area.
The Role
This is a hands-on Team Leader position responsible for overseeing manufacturing and extrusion processes, supporting the production team and ensuring daily output, quality and safety standards are achieved. The role also involves process improvement, new product introduction and working closely with other departments and suppliers.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- Rotating shift pattern (days/nights)
Pay & Benefits
- £16.22 per hour basic rate + £0.50 per hour attendance allowance
- Equivalent salary approximately £32,594 per annum

Duties
- Lead and support the production team to achieve daily targets
- Oversee manufacturing and extrusion processes
- Monitor production output, quality and process performance
- Support new process set-ups and product introductions
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Reduce waste and improve production efficiency
- Maintain production records, reports and procedures
- Ensure Health & Safety and quality standards are maintained
- Support recruitment, training and development of the team
About You
We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous production or manufacturing supervisory experience
- Mechanical or engineering experience would be advantageous
- Experience within plastics, PVC or injection moulding would be beneficial
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good problem-solving and organisational skills
- Ability to work to production targets and deadlines
- Strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement
