Abatec are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join our client’s growing team in Yatton – near Clevedon, Nailsea.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, with overtime available.
Ideal candidates will come from a hands-on, “on-the-tools” background, with experience in manufacturing, production, machine operation, or similar practical roles such as mechanical fitting, maintenance, or fabrication.

- Starting pay from £470 per week + Monthly attendance bonus up to £90 p/m
- Paid overtime available up to £26.12 p/h
- Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm / 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm ( fixed or rotating shifts (flexibility required))

About the role
- Operate machinery within a designated production area, ensuring output targets are met with minimal downtime
- Carry out machine operations such as cutting, milling, and assembly
- Set up, adjust, and safely shut down machines in line with operational procedures
- Monitor and minimise material usage and waste
What we need from you
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Reliable, hands-on, and able to work as part of a team
