Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundworkers to join our team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in various construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that groundwork is executed efficiently and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Perform excavation and groundwork tasks, including digging trenches and foundations.
- Operate machinery and tools safely, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist in the installation of drainage systems, utilities, and other infrastructure components.
- Conduct site preparation activities, ensuring the area is ready for construction.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, removing debris and materials as necessary.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment or site conditions to supervisors promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in groundwork or a related field is preferred.
- A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for operating site vehicles.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks are essential.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a groundworker/dumper driver intensive role is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
- A valid driver’s licence is desirable but not mandatory
