Abatec are seeking reliable and skilled Groundworkers to join a busy contractor working across projects in Bristol, Weston, Trowbridge, and Bath.
The successful candidates will play a vital role in delivering a range of groundwork and civil engineering tasks on commercial projects. This position requires a strong work ethic, practical experience, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
You will need.
CSCS
NPORS or CPCS (Dumper/Roller)
PPE
Groundworks experience
Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities
• Carry out all aspects of groundwork, including drainage, foundations, and kerbing.
• Operate plant machinery such as dumpers and rollers safely.
• Assist with excavation, trenching, and site preparation.
• Install utilities and infrastructure in line with specifications.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Work collaboratively with site teams to meet project deadlines.
• Report any issues or defects to supervisors promptly.
Experience
• Previous experience in groundwork or civils is essential.
• Valid Dumper and/or Roller tickets (NPORS or CPCS).
• Strong understanding of site safety and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
