We have a great opportunity to be part of a complex and challenging £500 million-pound plus Civil Engineering project in South Wales. Our client is a major contractor responsible for delivering over 1800 bridges, 10,000 km of highways and over 3,500 km of railways across the globe. We are recruiting for a permanent Foreman with experience of working on major Civil Engineering schemes and have a passion for earthworks, structures and roadworks schemes with the desire for excellence.
As Foreman you will:
- Be responsible for managing operative and subcontractors, ensuring programme deadlines are met
- Manage health and safety standards are upheld on site
- Keep site diaries, daily allocations sheets, plant sheets etc.
- Give daily briefings and conduct inductions
Our client requires a Foreman with:
- Proven experience of working on highways projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid at Work certificate
- Degree, HND, HNC in Civil Engineering or similar
Salary/Benefits:
- Up to £58,000 annual salary
- 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
- 6% employer pension contribution
- £7,200 subsistence/lodge allowance – if you live more than 1.5hr commute from Merthyr Tydfil
