We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join the team for AMP8 of the Wessex Water Framework. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Role Overview
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing high-value civil engineering projects that focus on sustainability and biodiversity. You will lead teams, ensure compliance, and drive the successful execution of schemes that enhance infrastructure, including:
🌍 Flood defence enhancements
💧 Water treatment works upgrades
🌿 Nature-based solutions for environmental sustainability
Your expertise will directly contribute to improving local communities and environmental resilience.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Managing and delivering multiple civil engineering projects within the Wessex Water Framework.
✅ Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
✅ Overseeing contract negotiations, subcontractor management, and risk assessment.
✅ Ensuring compliance with NEC3 & NEC4 contracts and health & safety regulations.
✅ Liaising with key stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and project teams.
✅ Leading project teams, fostering collaboration and problem-solving.
Requirements
✔️ HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
✔️ Proven experience in water sector projects within a contract management role.
✔️ Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
✔️ CSCS, SSSTS, or SMSTS certifications.
✔️ Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
✔️ Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites.
