Abatec is partnering with a leading contractor to recruit a highly skilled freelance Site Agent for long-term infrastructure projects across Bristol, Gloucester, and Swindon.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale civil engineering projects, including drainage, earthworks, and geotechnical surveying, with competitive pay and long-term security.
Role Overview
As a Site Agent, you will play a pivotal role in managing civil engineering works, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee site operations, coordinate teams, and maintain strong communication between stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Leading site operations, managing teams, and liaising with subcontractors.
✅ Ensuring health & safety compliance on-site, including SMSTS & First Aid at Work.
✅ Managing and coordinating drainage, earthworks, and geotechnical surveying.
✅ Monitoring progress, quality assurance, and resolving technical challenges.
✅ Maintaining accurate records and ensuring project documentation is up to date.
Requirements
✔️ ONC/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
✔️ Proven experience in civil infrastructure projects, particularly drainage and earthworks.
✔️ Valid SMSTS, First Aid at Work, PTS, and CSCS Managers Card.
✔️ Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
✔️ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Contract & Benefits
💰 Freelance contract (long-term opportunity, 5-year framework).
💰 Competitive CIS pay rate: £330 – £380 per day.
📍 Project locations: Bristol, Gloucester, Swindon.
