With over 50 years of industry experience, our client is a trusted provider of earthworks and civil engineering solutions, delivering large-scale projects across the region.
We are currently seeking a driven and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team, based just outside Avonmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an established company working on diverse and challenging infrastructure projects, ensuring their financial success while playing a vital role in cost management and contract negotiations.
Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage project finances, oversee contract administration, and ensure the commercial viability of infrastructure and earthworks projects. You will also collaborate with the Estimating team, assisting with tenders and using estimating software such as COINS.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Managing cost control, procurement, and contract administration for civil engineering projects.
✅ Overseeing financial reporting and forecasting, ensuring budget alignment.
✅ Working closely with the Estimating team and supporting tender processes.
✅ Using estimating software such as COINS for cost management.
✅ Negotiating subcontracts, valuations, and variations.
✅ Collaborating with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
✅ Ensuring compliance with NEC contract forms and company financial procedures.
Requirements
✔️ Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering and earthworks sector.
✔️ Strong knowledge of NEC contract forms and estimating processes.
✔️ Experience using Cash Flow Software, preferably COINS.
✔️ Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
✔️ Proficient in cost management and financial reporting tools.
✔️ Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
✔️ Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
✔️ Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Salary & Benefits
💰 £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE).
